Ask Yourself, "When Was The Last Time I Had Some Physical Activity?"
When we are moving slow, tired, or unmotivated, and we've had enough water, food, and rest, we need to get active in our bodies to wake up our minds. A simple exercise, even a 10-minute walk, is enough to get our minds working again. And it is good to build this into the beginning of your day. I start my day with a 10-minute walk from my front door is enough to wake me up and put me in a better state of mind.
And when our body and mind are ready to work, we can tap into our potential and seize our day. I had a meeting this morning quite a distance from my office. It took me 40 minutes to get there, lasted an hour where I sat the whole time, and then 40 minutes back. Because it was so early, I had to skip my walk. When I got back, I almost fell asleep at my computer.
Rather than buckle down and power through, I put on my work clothes, went outside, and took care of some fence posts and firewood stacking. With this simple activity for just a few minutes, I was refreshed and ready to work!
